

PROGRAMS
The Father’s Table program at Open Door Ministries serves three meals a day seven days a week to the homeless and less fortunate in our community. There are no stipulations as to who is served as we truly offer an “open door” to those who are hungry.
The Emergency Services program at Open Door Ministries provides financial assistance for household utility, rent and medical prescriptions. Funds for the program are made available through United Way, grants, corporations, agency fundraisers and community donations.
EJRP helps individuals develop the skills needed to ensure they are ready for today's job market. Open Door Ministries offers a variety of employment training courses which include Skills for Employment, Money Smart, and Computer (PC) Skills for Today's Worker.
Arthur Cassell Memorial Transitional House program at Open Door Ministries is a transitional living facility for fourteen homeless men who have a desire to live independently in the High Point community. The program which implements the Disease Model of Addiction to assist residents affect change.
The Men's Shelter is a facility designed to house adult homeless men on a temporary basis. Clients who enter the shelter have access to case management services, substance abuse treatment and medical services.
Apartment doors are open to the chronically homeless, thanks to Open Door's Housing First Program. The majority of the men and owmen in this program are coping with mental illness or are in recovery from addiction. Furnished apartments and ongoing assistance from the staff help them enjoy warm, dry homes for the first time in years.
When the doors of home start to close for families because they can't pay the costs of keeping them open, HPRP can help. Open Door's Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program provides case management and outreach to people at imminent risk of homelessness.
